Operator Manual Valiant
11
For warming-up the Valiant will hold the start speed for 1 minute. After that the speed will
increase until the target heart rate is reached.
In this mode the display shows the actual heartrate and the Valiant increases the speed until
the heartrate-zone is reached. This adjustment is controlled by the embedded software.
When during training the target heart rate is exceeded, the software will decrease the angle
and speed to decrease the heartrate and return to the heart-rate-zone.
When the heart rate is not received during the test, the indicator [12] will show [no Hr], As
soon as the heart-rate is received, it will be displayed again. After finishing a test, it is
possible to read out the amount of performed kilocalories.
During a heartrate controlled test, the software will keep the workload of the test equal. When
the elevation angle is increased, the speed is lowered. As the angle is decreased, the speed will
increase until the target heart-rate-zone is reached.
The test subject should stay near the receiver (within a range of 0,8 meter) which is located in
the display unit.
