4-4 Engine
4-4-1 Crankshaft/piston
a. Disassembly/assembly
Oil level

Sealing gasket of
crankcase cover
Oil seal 25 × 41.25 × 6
Valve lifter
Assembly:
Assemble the camshaft
immediately after the tapper
is assembled.
Connecting rod cap
Assembly:
Make the direction of oil spoon
towards nose end of
speed-regulating arm, and align the
connecting rod to the lug boss of
connecting rod cap for assembly.
Crankcase cover
Bolt: M8 × 32
Torque: (26 ~ 32) N•m
Crankcase
Wind scooper
Reducing
valve
Assembly:
Check if the spring is worn
and out of elasticity to ensure
the decompression hammer
can operate flexibly, then
align to the timing mark for
assembly.
Assembly:
During assembly, do
not damage the oil
seal. Pull it in until
the bearing contacts
with crankcase.
Crankshaft parts
Assembly:
When passing
through the
crankshaft, do not
roll up the edge of
oil seal.
Assembly:
During assembly,
make the direction
of piston top arrow
as same as that of
oil spoon of
connecting rod.
