The system can also record audio for up to: 8 channels (8-channel models) or 4 channels
(12/16/24 channel models). You must have audio-capable cameras (not included) or self-
powered microphones (not included) in order to record audio on the system.

RCA Cable
To enable audio recording:
1. Connect the BNC video cable from the camera to a Video Input port between 1 and 4
(12/16/24-channel models) or to any Video Input port (8-channel models). For exam-
ple, connect the camera to Video Input port 1.
2. Connect the RCA audio cable from the camera to the corresponding Audio Input. Fol-
lowing the example in step 1, you would connect the cable to Audio Input port 1.
3. Right-click to open the Menu Bar and click the Main Menu button (
).
4. Click Record and select the MainStream tab.
5. Ensure the Audio checkbox is checked next to the channel the audio-enabled camera
is connected to.
6. Click Apply to save your changes.
