  If your monitor or TV shows no picture after connecting it to the Lorex DVR, first, power off both the monitor/TV and the DVR. Then, power on the monitor/TV, followed by the DVR. Ensure that you have selected the correct input channel on your monitor/TV to which the DVR is connected. Also, check that the video cable is securely connected to both the DVR and the monitor/TV. If the video-out resolution is incorrect, press and hold the button on the front panel or remote control until the DVR restarts to reset it to the default resolution (1024x768).

If you're using a power bar or surge protector, try plugging the DVR directly into the wall. Also, make sure the power switch is in the ON position, if your model has one. To ensure the outlet is working, test it with another device or try a different outlet.
