16. How can I restore the contents of my ECU/TCU to their original state?
There are many ways:
If it was possible to make a full backup in Bench or Bootloader of the ECU or TCU
in question before making any modications, assuming that the original content was
indeed truly original. It is then possible to rewrite this full backup and return the control
unit to the original state.
If the OBD protocol of the ECU or TCU in question has the “Write Update” or “Update
File” function (not all ECU and TCU models currently supported have this function) it
is possible to write an ocial VAG update le via OBD (.frf or .odx) that will restore the
contents of the control unit to its original state based on the selected software update.
It is possible to request an original le via ticket and then write it in the control unit
through the tool (OBD, bench, boot)
17. How can I nd the list of BOSCH numbers compatible with my ECU?
Log in to the MMS Helpdesk and access the Ticket section> Create New> HW BOSCH

Choose the operation you wish to carry out:
1. Bosch Number Translator and Compatible Number List:
By selecting this option, by proceeding through the ticket, it will be necessary to enter
the Bosch number shown on the ECU label (0281 if it is a Bosch Diesel or 0261 if it
is a Bosch Petrol) without spaces between the numbers to then proceed with the
calculation of the ECU model and the list of compatible Bosch numbers.
2. Manufacturer Hardware Number Translator
By selecting this option, by proceeding through the ticket, it will be necessary to enter
the hardware number of the vehicle manufacturer (VW, Mercedes, etc.) without spaces
between the numbers and then proceed to calculate the ECU model and the specic
Bosch number.
• List of Compatible Manufacturer Hardware Numbers
By selecting this option, by proceeding through the ticket, it will be necessary to enter
the Bosch number shown on the ECU label (0281 if it is a Bosch Diesel or 0261 if it is
a Bosch Petrol) without spaces between the numbers and then proceed to calculate
the Hardware number of the Manufacturer and, if present, the list of compatible
Manufacturer Hardware numbers.
