Using the system

Wash
The wash step pumps transport fluid through the Quartz Flow Cell in order to remove
sample. One wash cycle is equivalent to pumping 1000 µL through the Flow Cell.

To add a wash step, left click on the Wash icon. The number of wash cycles in the
wash step is shown under the Properties tab (3 by default). To change this enter
the number of wash cycles required.
Initial Purge
The initial purge flushes the sample and buffer loops with transport fluid to ensure that
no air bubbles are present within the system.
Note:always perform an initial purge when the NanoSampler has not been
operational for more than a day.

Click the Initial Purge icon to add it to the playlist actions.

Click the Actions tab to add the next action to the Autosampler Action sequence.
Run SOP
The Run SOP action loads the relevant SOP for analyzing your sample and directs the Nan-
oSampler to the relevant sampling positions.

Click Run SOP, set up the parameters and then locate the SOP file and click Open.
General setup
There are three ways to run an NanoSampler measurement:
l
Single Vial - specify a single vial on which to run the SOP.
l
Range - specify a complete range of adjacent vials on which to run the SOP.
l
Load from file - specify any pattern of vials on which to run the SOP.
