F - OCCASIONAL MAINTENANCE
F1 – BATTERY TRAY
REMOVE
Place the lift truck on level ground.
- Raise the battery cover (see: 2 - DESCRIPTION: INSTRUMENTS AND CONTROLS).
- Disconnect the battery plug (1).
- Remove the right- and left-hand side casings 2.
- Place the hooks in the fastening points 3 provided for this purpose.
- Remove the battery tray locking mechanism 4 (depending on the model).
- Carefully lift the battery 5 and remove it via the right-hand side (6).
- Carefully set down the battery.
F2 – LIFT TRUCK
TOWING
IMPORTANT
The lift truck must be towed very slowly (less than 5 km/h) and for as short a distance as possible (less than 100 m).
- Set the forward/reverse lever to neutral.
- Release the hand brake.
- Since there will be no steering or braking assistance, operate the steering and pedal slowly avoiding sudden or jerky
movements.
- Switch off the ignition to avoid damaging the electrical boards.
F3 – LIFT TRUCK
SLINGING
- Take into account the position of the lift truck center of gravity (1) for lifting.
A = 750 mm B = 630 mm ME 418
A = 776 mm B = 709 mm ME 420
A = 808 mm B = 677 mm ME 425 C
- Place the hooks in the fastening points 2 provided.
