13. Connect the boom extension’s anti-double block wire
with the anti-double block wire on the main boom
(Figure 5-20).
14. Remove the hook and ball from the storage
compartment on the crane and place it below the end of
the boom extension.
15. Remove the hook block from the hoist wire rope.
16. Remove the pin from top of the boom head as shown in
Figure 5-21. Remove the wire rope from the boom head
sheaves. Install pin back into the top of the boom head.
17. Remove the top pin from the deflector sheave
(Figure 5-22).
