2.3.1 Operative mode
● On Request Acq.
In this operating mode, the device is programmed by the driver to send the
measurement values when requested (such as WinCom
TM
Driver). The central
button is not assigned any specic function. Each time the application requests a
measurement value, the driver acquires the value from the device.
Use in Quick SPC
TM
This operating mode is compatible with all of the Quick SPC
TM
acquisition modes.
Use in Easy Acquisition
TM
This operating mode is compatible with all of the Easy Acquisition
TM
acquisition modes.
● Continuous Acq.
In this operating mode, the Quick Digit
TM
Bluetooth
®
sends the measurement value
automatically whenever it changes. The central button is not assigned any specic
function. This operating mode increases the battery consumption. In this case, the
driver never forwards measurement requests to the device, since it sends them
itself, if necessary.
Thus, the Driver simply monitors the Device and, when the software application
requests the value, the Driver immediately returns the last received value.

TM
acquisition modes.
Use in Easy Acquisition
TM
This operating mode is compatible with all of the Easy Acquisition
TM
acquisition modes.
● Hold
In this operating mode, the device is programmed to send upon receiving a
measurement request (as in the case of “On Request”). The central button is
programmed to execute the hold function.
In this case, the user, after positioning the gauge, must press the central but to freeze
the measurement value. At this point, the measurement value remains unvaried until
the driver requests the value. After the Driver has requested the value, the Quick
Digit
TM
Bluetooth
®
device exits the hold state and resumes varying the value indicated
on the display in correspondence with the position of the contact.
The application must not read the measurement value until after the user has pressed
the hold button.
This operating mode is not compatible with congurations where “Acquisition Mode”
has been set to MAX/MIN/DELTA since these are implicit hold modes, and in such
cases, the central button is used to reset the implicit Hold state.
