⚠ NOTE: Do not use a garden hose or pressure washing equipment, it can force water into the
air cleaner. Water in the air cleaner will soak the filter element and can enter the carburetor or
engine cylinder, causing damage.
3. After washing the plow, wipe dry. Start engine to completely dry off engine.
4. After the plow is clean and dry, touch up any damaged paint and coat other areas with a
light film of oil.
5. Wipe the plow with oil or spay to prevent rusting.
9 LUBRICATION
9.1 Wheel Chain and Bearings
Use a dry spray lubricant on chain and insert grease to both pillow block bearings at grease zirks.
9.2 Clutch Lever Pivots
Apply a Few drops of SAE 30 oil to the clutch hand lever and idler lever pivots as required to
maintain a free and smooth operation of clutch.
9.3 Idler Arms Pivot
Lubricate idler arm pivots once a month or every 40 operating hours with #30 oil.
10 STORAGE
10.1 Engine
1. If your plow is to be stored over 30 days, please see your Engine Owner’s Manual for
storage information. A fuel stabilizer additive is recommended for storage over 30 days.
The engine should be completely drained of fuel to prevent gum deposits from forming
on essential carburetor parts, fuel filter, fuel lines and tank.
2. Refer to engine manual for further engine storage procedures.
10.2 Plow
1. At the end of the season or if plow is to be stored for any length of time it should be
cleaned following the cleaning instructions in Section 8.5.
11 TRANSPORTING
1. Push the ON/OFF switch, mounted on engine, to the OFF position
2. Turn fuel supply lever to the off position at carburetor.
3. Without gripping the clutch lever, firmly grab handles and transport as needed.
