4100 SCB Owners Manual Supplement
Appliances
All appliances installed on your Maxum yacht come with their own manuals (supplied in your yachts owners
packet) that contain detailed operating instructions and important safeguards. Thoroughly read and understand these
manuals before using your yachts appliances for the first time. Make sure the AC breaker is activated for the appli-
ance you wish to turn on.
Propane Stove/Oven (Option)
Your yacht may come equipped with an optional liquid propane gas stove/oven. Before attempting to operate
the stove/oven, be sure to read the operating instructions included in your yachts owners packet and observe
the following:
Propane System Operation Summary
Close the tank valve when the stove/oven is not in use.
Be sure the stoves valves are CLOSED before opening
the tank valve.
Always apply a lit match or other flame source to the burner
before opening burner valve.
Test the system for propane gas leakage at least twice a month
in accordance with the following procedure:
1. Note the pressure on the regulator gauge with the appliance
valves closed and the tank valve open.
2. Close the tank valve: If the pressure reading on the gauge
drops to zero in less than 20 minutes, there is a leak in the
system!
If a leak is suspected:
1. Locate the propane gas leak by applying liquid detergent or soap and water solution to all connections.
2. Repair the leak.
3. After the gas leak has been repaired, recheck for leaks in the propane system before using the stove/oven.
HOT & FIRE HAZARDS!
STOVE: DO NOT touch stove burners, grates or areas near the stove units as they may be hot
even when they are dark in color. Areas near burners and grates may become hot enough to
cause burns. During use and afterwards, do not touch or let clothing or other flammable mate-
rial come in contact with heated units (or areas near the units) until they have had sufficient
time to cool.
