Turn the key switch to off or platform position.
Move up and hold the platform up / down switch.
Result: No function should operate.
Turn the key switch to ground control position.
Move up and hold the platform up / down switch.
Result: The platform should raise.
Move down and hold the platform up / down switch.
Result: The platform should lower to end. The descent alarm should sound while the
platform is lowering.
Note: Be sure the area below the platform is clear of personnel and obstructions before continuing.
Test the Emergency Lowering
Activate the up function and raise the platform approximately 24 in / 60 cm.
Pull the emergency lowering knob.
Result: The platform should lower. The descent alarm will not sound.
Turn the key switch to platform control.
At the Platform Controls
Test Emergency Stop
Push in the platform red Emergency Stop button to the off position.
Result: No functions should operate.
Pull the red Emergency Stop button out to the on position.
Result: The LED indicator light should come on.
Test the Horn
Push the horn button.
Result: The horn should sound.
Test Function Enable and Up/Down Functions
Do not hold the function enable switch on the control handle.
Slowly move the control handle in the direction indicated by the yellow arrow, then in the
direction indicated by the blue arrow.
Result: No function should operate.
Press the lift function select button.
Press and hold the function enable switch on the control handle.
Slowly move the control handle in the direction indicated by the yellow arrow.
Result: The platform should raise. The pothole guards should deploy.
Release the control handle.
Result: The platform should stop raising.
Press and hold the function enable switch. Slowly move the control handle in the direction
indicated by the blue arrow.
Result: The platform should lower. The descent alarm should sound while the platform is
lowering.
