14. Patient transport
CAUTION
Risk of personal injuries due to tilting of the medifa 5000!
The operating table can tip over when driving over the thresholds.
The medifa 5000 must always be moved at the lowest possible height and with two people!
CAUTION
Risk of personal injury due to crushing!
Do not jam your feet in the chassis section when turning or moving the medifa 5000.
CAUTION
Danger of collision!
Take special care when transporting with the medifa 5000. Exclude collisions with persons in the area or the
furniture and impact effects!
Familiarise yourself with the driving behaviour before transporting a patient for the first time.
The following measures must be implemented before driving the medifa 5000:
1. Move the medifa 5000 to zero position.
2. Fold the accessories on the medifa 5000 or remove them from the medifa 5000.
3. Always move the table top to the lowest position.
4. Disconnect the potential equalisation line.
ATTENTION
Damage to the cables
Before moving the medifa 5000, disconnect the potential equalisation line from the medifa 5000.
Do not roll over or crush the potential equalisation line when moving the medifa 5000!
1. Release the parking brake.
2. Move the table manually. Avoid jerky movements of the table. When turning, observe turning circle and sur-
roundings.
3. Hold the table while driving.
4. Stop the table by manual stop.
5. Braking with the brake pedal.
CAUTION
Patient hazard!
Braking the medifa 5000 while it is running is prohibited! First stop the medifa 5000.
1. Stop the medifa 5000.
2. Press the parking brake down, the medifa 5000 is now braked.
3. Release the brake: Set the parking brake to the top or middle position. The brake is now released.
