Verification of the system
If one or several traffic lights are yellow or red, the operator must perform a verification of
the system as described below.
If the zero traffic light is yellow or red:
•
Verify the room is well ventilated and the temperature is not greater than 35°C.
•
Verify the sample flow exhaust in the rear panel of the module is free.
•
Verify the cooling fan of the module is operating and the ventilation holes are not
covered and free of dust.
If the use of the ambient gas cylinder is enabled:
•
Verify the ambient gas cylinder is opened, the fill pressure of the cylinder is greater
than 20 bars (290 psi) and the output pressure of the reducer is set to 3.5 bars (50
psi) bars (65 psi).
•
Verify the connection between the cylinder and the module. Verify the gas cylinder is
connected to the right gas inlet of the module.
•
Verify the validity date of the gas cylinder (indicated on the analysis certificate).
•
Verify the correct concentrations of the cylinders from the analysis certificate are set
in the calibration menu.
If the sensitivity, response time and/or transport time traffic light is yellow or red:
•
Verify the calibration gas cylinder is opened, the fill pressure of the cylinder is greater
than 20 bars (290 psi) and the output pressure of the reducer is set to 3.5 bars (50
psi) bars (65 psi).
•
Verify the umbilical is correctly connected to the calibration port on the front panel
of the module.
•
Verify the sample line of the umbilical is correctly connected to the sample port on
the front of the module.
•
Verify the umbilical is not damaged. Replace if needed.
After the verification of the system
Perform a calibration of the gas analysers and check the results.
Calibration is now good and the system can be used.
The calibration is acceptable and the system can be used. The deviation could
be the sign that a maintenance of the device is necessary. Please contact your
Medisoft representative.
The calibration is not acceptable. A verification of the system by a field service
technician is required. Please contact your Medisoft representative.
