All Medisoft devices are designed to have a minimum lifetime of 10 years, which requires
regular maintenance to be performed by the manufacturer or its representative. The device
requires a preventive maintenance once a year, along with a recommended bi-annual
control visits in order to validate the calibration.
All maintenance operations must be performed by technicians specifically trained by
Medisoft. Maintenance by a third-party company does not guarantee the proper functioning
of the device. Front-line maintenance training for hospital engineers can be provided by
Medisoft. The company is not responsible for any malfunctioning device which has not been
maintained in accordance with the above stated recommendations.
The entire preventative maintenance consists of the actions listed below:
• General check and cleaning
• Parts replacement
• Pneumatic and electronic checks
• Reference calibrations
• Quality tests and biological tests
In addition to the preventive maintenance, Medisoft strongly recommends that the user
performs monthly quality control tests with simulators and biological control tests with two
healthy and trained persons in order to detect any device malfunctions.
