• Never attempt to brake the saw blade by pressing against the side of it.

attempting to remove pieces that have got stuck.

• The bandsaw can be used to saw metal with a special saw blade guide and by adjusting the speed. Never saw

• Always use dust extraction, with an underpressure of 860 Pa and an air speed of at least 20 m/s, when working in
enclosed areas.
• The dust extraction starts automatically within 2–3 seconds after starting the tool. This prevents tripping the fuse.
• When the tool is switched o the dust extraction continues to work for 2–3 seconds before it switches o
automatically. This allows the suction hose to empty. This arrangement ensures lower power consumption and
less noise, because the dust extraction is only enabled when the tool is running.
• Never switch o or remove the dust extraction while the tool is in use.
• Do not use the tool if it is damaged or defective in any way. The tool must only be used for its intended purpose and
in accordance with these instructions. Never allow children, or anyone who is unfamiliar with the power tool and
these instructions, to use the tool. Rectify any faults and safety problems immediately, before using the tool again.
• Follow all the safety instructions, maintenance instructions and other instructions, including the technical data.
• Always follow local regulations for safety at the workplace and prevention of accidents.
• The tool must only be used and maintained in accordance with these instructions and by qualied personnel. The
manufacturer cannot accept any liability for damage resulting from modications to the tool that have not been
approved by the manufacturer.
• Only use accessories and tools recommended by the manufacturer.
• All other use is prohibited. The manufacturer cannot be held liable for any damage resulting from any other use.
Remaining risks
• This tool has been manufactured in compliance with the applicable safety standards. Using the tool does,
however, involve the following risks:
– Risk of hand and nger injuries when working with a rotating cutting tool.
– Risk of injury as a result of ejected workpiece caused by incorrect handling.
– Health risk as a result of shavings and dust. Wear safety glasses and a dust lter mask. Use the dust
extraction system.
– Risk of personal injury as a result of defective saw blade. Check the saw blade for damage at regular intervals.
– Risk of injury to hands and ngers when changing saw blades. Wear safety gloves.
– Risk of personal injury if the saw blade unexpectedly starts moving when the tool starts.
– Risk of electric shock as a result of unsuitable or damaged power cord.
