• Put the chain in the slot on bar (pos. A).
• Fit the bar and chain on the chain saw so
that the chain runs round the sprocket and
the bar hangs on the chain tensioning
screw.
• Put the sprocket cover back on and tighten the retaining screw by hand.
IMPORTANT: Do not fully tighten the retaining screw until the chain has been tensioned (see, Tensioning
the chain).

IMPORTANT: Unplug the power cord before checking and adjusting. Wear safety gloves.

Loosen the retaining screw for the
sprocket cover a few turns.
