P Do not continue using the machine if
damages are visible or apparent malfunctions
occur. Important safety functions may
malfunction in this case. Have them first
inspected and repaired, if required, by customer
service, for example
– if the housing is damaged or covers do not
close properly,
– if the power cord or power plug are
damaged or if the fuse for the circuit of your
machine trips repeatedly,
–ifwater escapes from the machine,
–iferror messages are shown on the display
or if the machine does not function normally,
–ifunusual odor can be detected or heat
development on the housing is apparent (the
housing is normally only warm to the touch
during operation).
In all of these cases, pull the plug from the
outlet and turn off the water. Then notify
customer service.
P Comply with all cleaning, inspection and
repair intervals as specified in the instructions.
P The safety concept of this machine only works if
all components are clean and wearing parts are
replaced in a timely manner. Otherwise, the
safety, functional reliability and durability may be
impeded.
P Cleaning agents may be a health hazard when
swallowed, breathed in and touching the skin.

– no other cleaning agents than those
described in these instructions are used
– do not fill or throw cleaning agents into
other containers as described in these
instructions
– Any information on cleaning agents must be
easily accessible also in emergency
situations. If you are using the agents
recommended by MELITTA®, this information
is enclosed with each of the products.
