Wet-clean the area behind the frother regularly.
P You can then reinstall the parts in the reverse
sequence.
Replace the milk hose in the framework of the annual
maintance or as needed, if material fatigue is apparent!
10.f Cleaning as needed:
P Wipe plastic parts, painted surfaces and stainless
steel parts regularly with a wet cloth. Do not use
any abrasive agents or sharp objects.
P If you are using a stainless steel care agent, it
must be suitable for MELITTA
®
coffee machines,
for example, stainless steel care agent (19244).
Remove the drip grill as soon as soiling is visible.
To do this, slightly press on the drip grill in the
back so that it rises in the front and can be easily
removed. Use this opportunity to also wipe the
drip pan thoroughly with a wet cloth.
The cup tray can be easily removed. Simply pull
the flexible retainers at the left and right slightly
apart and remove the cup tray as soon as soiling
is apparent. Clean this part in hot water with
regular dish soap.
10.g Cleaning the grounds drawer:
If the grounds are not discharged into the optional
container but into the grounds drawer:
Fold up the cup tray and pull out the grounds
drawer located behind it. Empty it with the regular
household waste.
Remove lose dirt including from the area in the
slot of the grounds drawer. You may otherwise
not be able to insert it properly and a malfunction
may occur.
Attention: The grounds drawer must not be cleaned
in a dish washer, as this could cause damage.
– If the grounds drawer has been pulled out for
more than 3 seconds, the question appears in the
display after reinserting the grounds drawer
whether it has been emptied. Respond by
pushing the "Yes" or "No" button.
– The grounds drawer is shown in the display as
long as it is pulled out and not been properly
reinserted.
