Operation Chart
Turn battery
switch OFF, if so
equipped.
BEFORE
STARTING
AFTER
STARTING
WHILE
UNDERWAY
AFTER
STOPPING
Open engine
hatch.
Observe all gauges
to check condition of
engine. If not normal,
stop engine.
Observe all
gauges to monitor
engine condition.
If not normal, stop
engine.
Turn ignition
key OFF.
Turn battery switch
ON, if so equipped.
Check for fuel, oil,
water, fluid and
exhaust leaks, etc.
Operate bilge
blowers, if so
equipped.
Check shift and
throttle control
operation.
Close fuel
valve, if so
equipped
Open fuel
shutoff valve,
if so equipped.
Check steering
operation
Close seacock, if
so equipped.
Open seacock, if
so equipped.
Flush cooling
system, if in a
saltwater area.
Perform all other
checks specified by
your dealer and\or
boat builder.
Check engine oil
level.
