Carrying, Storing, and Transporting Your Outboard when
Removed from Boat
IMPORTANT: Ensure the proper procedures are followed for transportation and
storage of the outboard to avoid the possibility of oil leaks.
1. With the outboard in the water, disconnect the remote fuel line and run the
engine until it stops.
2. Remove the outboard and hold it upright until the water has drained out.
3. Carry, transport, or store the outboard in an upright position, horizontal
with the front of the engine facing up (tiller handle facing up), or on the
port side.
