SMARTCRAFT HARNESS AND VESSEL HARNESS CONNECTION
If the boat is equipped with a SmartCraft and/or vessel (accessory) harness,
route the wiring harness through the rigging grommet and connect it to the
connector on the engine.

BATTERY CABLE CONNECTIONS
This outboard is factory equipped with 3.6 m (12 ft) #4 gauge battery cables.
If battery cables longer than the factory supplied cables are required, the wire
gauge size must increase. Refer to the following chart for the correct gauge
according to the length.
IMPORTANT: Only copper battery cables should be used. Do not use
aluminum power cables in any marine installation.
