Turn out the manual tilt release valve three turns counterclockwise. This allows
manual tilting of the outboard. Tilt the outboard to the desired position and
tighten the manual tilt release valve.
SHALLOW WATER OPERATION
When operating your boat in shallow water, you can tilt the outboard beyond
the maximum trim range to prevent hitting bottom.
1. Reduce the engine speed below 2000 RPM.
2. Tilt the outboard up. Make sure all the water intake holes stay submerged
at all times.
3. Operate the engine at slow speed only.
Warning System
WARNING HORN
Remote control models have a warning horn located inside the remote control
or connected to the ignition key switch. Tiller handle models have a warning
horn located in the engine cowl.
