• Steering cable grease fitting (if equipped) ‑ Rotate the steering wheel
to fully retract the steering cable end into the outboard tilt tube.
Lubricate through fitting.

WARNING
Incorrect cable lubrication can cause hydraulic lock, leading to serious
injury or death from loss of boat control. Completely retract the end of the
steering cable before applying lubricant.
3. Lubricate the following with lightweight oil.
• Steering link rod pivot points ‑ Lubricate the pivot points.

1. Tilt the outboard to the full up position and engage the tilt support lock.
