Fastening the Outboard to the Transom
1. Install the outboard so that the anti-ventilation plate is in-line or within 25 mm (1 in.) below the
bottom of the boat.

2. Apply marine sealer to the shanks of bolts, not the threads.
3. Fasten the outboard with the provided mounting hardware. Tighten the locknuts to the specified
torque.
NOTE: For a more accurate torque, turn/tighten the mounting locknuts rather than turning the mounting
bolts.
