2. Start the engine.
3. Do not advance the throttle until the engine idles and runs
smoothly and the water temperature reaches a minimum of 54
°C (130 °F).
4. Repeat the cranking procedure until the engine starts and
runs smoothly. Observe the instrumentation to ensure all
systems are functioning.
5. Inspect engine for fuel, oil, fluid, water and exhaust leaks.
6. Check the steering system.
7. Check shifting and throttle control for proper operation.
