OPTIMAL MID-HIGH LOUDSPEAKER TO SUB-
WOOFER RATIO
The ideal ratio of mid-high loudspeakers to 750-LFC
loudspeakers depends on the following:
Loudspeaker model
System configuration
Frequency content of source material
Headroom required for low frequencies
For LINA applications, the ratios shown in Figure 4, Figure5,
and Figure 6 yield good results.
For ULTRA-X40 applications, the ratio shown in Figure7 yields
good results.
CAUTION: Make sure that all cables for looped
loudspeakers are wired correctly (Pin 1 to Pin 1,
Pin 2 to Pin 2, etc.) to prevent the polarity from being
reversed. If one or more loudspeakers in a system have
reversed polarity, frequency response and coverage
will be significantly degraded.
