APPENDIX C – CUSTOM ROTATOR SETTINGS & CONNECTIONS
MOTOR and SENSOR CONNECTIONS
MOTOR: AC or AC+CAP
Wiring for all 3 leads (2 phase) AC motors. If rotator has no brake solenoid, keep MOTOR B pin
unconnected
MOTOR LEAD ROTATOR PORT NAME PIN NUMBER
CW MOTOR A 6
CCW MOTOR C 4
COMMON MOTOR D 5
BRAKE MOTOR B 7
MOTOR: DC (reversible)
Wiring for most common, all 2 leads DC motors. Polarity assignment assumes the rotator is
turning clockwise when positive power is applied to the positive motor lead.
For better power handling we recommend to connect MOTOR A pin in parallel to MOTOR B pin
as well as MOTOR C pin in parallel to MOTOR D pin.

POSITIVE MOTOR A + B 6 + 7
NEGATIVE MOTOR C + D 4 + 5
MOTOR: DC+COM
Wiring for special DC motor with 3 leads, having separate CW and CCW leads, closing circuit
against common (PropPitch alike).
