2 Initial Setup
Setup procedure when starting up the Surface for the
first time (1/6)
1 Press the power button
to start the Surface.
2 Tap "English."
3 Tap “Yes.”
4 The “Are you sure this is
the correct country or
region?” screen will appear.
5 Select "Japan.".
6 Tap “Yes.”
7 The “Is this the correct
keyboard layout or input
method?” screen will
appear.
8 Select “Microsoft IME.”
9 Tap “Yes.”
