4 If you think your device is broken
Surface initialization procedure (1/5)
If something goes wrong with your Surface, reboot it first.
If rebooting does not solve the problem, initializing the Surface
(reinstalling Windows) may solve it.
This section describes the procedure for reinstalling Windows
while leaving the data on the desktop and in documents and
pictures.
Additional installed apps will be removed. Install it again.
Be sure to save your important files to OneDrive or similar in case
the Surface malfunctions or something goes wrong.
If the problem persists after resetting, please contact the Repair
Desk and Support Center for repair.
