Battery Replacement
Regularly scheduled maintenance of the True Blue Power
®
lithium
iron phosphate battery is not required. The battery module is rated
for an estimated life of six (6) years. Extreme temperature, repeated
full-depth discharges or other abuse may reduce battery life.
A battery capacity check occurs each time the unit is powered on.
If the battery capacity is determined to provide at least 60 minutes
of operation, no message is displayed and the battery is good. If the
battery capacity warning appears, the battery pack may need to be
recharged (Image 35). The user may acknowledge the warning and
continue on to Flight Mode. However, emergency backup power
may be less than the required minimum capacity.
The battery will recharge itself when external power is applied to
the unit. If the battery capacity warning persists after recharging, the
battery pack may need to be replaced. Battery replacement can be
conducted without returning the unit to the factory by following the
procedure provided in the Installation Manual.
