Ceramic hob
These hobs are classified in Germany
as “Y” class for heat protection. They
must be positioned so that there is ade-
quate ventilation. There may be a wall
at the rear and wall or tall units at one
side. On the other side, however, no
unit or divider must stand higher than
the hob.
Because of heat given out, there
must be a minimum distance as fol-
lows:
– 40 mm between the hob cut-out
and adjacent furniture, e. g. tall
unit.
– 50 mm between the back wall
and the hob cut-out.
