Place a suitable item of cookware on the cooking zone within 3 minutes to resolve this. The cooking process will then start or continue with your previously selected settings. Remember to adjust the settings if you've changed the cookware or food.

      If '??' appears briefly in the timer display and the cooking zones of your Miele Hob do not heat up, the hob is likely in demo mode, even if there is cookware on the hob. To exit demo mode, switch the hob on. Then, touch the '?' and '?' sensor controls simultaneously until '??' flashes alternately with '???' in the timer display.
