  If your Miller Motorcycle Accessories auto-lens stays light and won't darken during welding, immediately stop welding. For Auto-On lenses, press the Reset button. For Manual-On lenses, ensure it's turned On. If the power is on, check and adjust the sensitivity settings. Ensure the lens cover and sensors are clean and unobstructed, and that the sensors directly face the arc; angles greater than 45 degrees might prevent the arc light from reaching the sensors.

Make sure they're in good condition and correctly installed. Clean the battery surfaces and contacts if needed. Ensure the battery has proper contact, adjusting the contact points gently if necessary, especially after dropping the helmet. Verify that the left and right battery trays are on the correct sides.

  If sections of your Miller Motorcycle Accessories auto-lens aren't darkening, and you see distinct lines separating light and dark areas, stop welding immediately. The auto-lens may be cracked, possibly from dropping the helmet or weld spatter. You may need to replace the lens, but note that most cracked lenses aren't covered by warranty.

  If your Miller Motorcycle Accessories lens darkens and lightens repeatedly while welding, try increasing the sensitivity setting. Make sure nothing blocks the arc sensors from directly receiving the arc light. Inspect the lens cover for dirt or spatter that might obstruct the sensors. Also, increasing the Lens Delay to 0.1 – 0.3 seconds may help reduce the switching.

  It is normal to notice slightly lighter areas at the outside edges and corners of your Miller Motorcycle Accessories lens, especially when viewing at angles other than perpendicular to the lens surface. This effect may also be more noticeable when using magnifying lenses. This is not a health or safety hazard.
