Discrimination Pattern
Thumbnail
Shows the Pattern that is the
result of your accepted or
rejected Discrimination Patterns
from the Select List.
Navigation
Arrows
Indicate which
direction the
Select List can
be scrolled.
Target Icon
Indicates the selected
Discrimination Pattern.
Select List
Lists Discrimination Patterns
for common targets.
CLEAR
is provided to clear the
Discrimination Pattern.
Accept Icon
A tick indicates that
the Discrimination
Pattern for this
target is accepted.
Reject Icon
A cross indicates
that the
Discrimination
Pattern for this
target is rejected.

The SELECT screen lists eight types
of targets (Discrimination Patterns)
typically encountered during treasure
hunting and six spaces where custom
saved patterns can be retrieved.
Each Discrimination Pattern in the
Select List is designed to accept the
corresponding target type.
By accepting the Discrimination
Pattern
, you are modifying the
Discrimination Pattern Thumbnail to
accept that target type.
By rejecting the Discrimination
Pattern
, you are modifying the
Discrimination Pattern Thumbnail to
reject that target type.
A number of the Discrimination Patterns
from the Select List can be accepted
and rejected at the same time, creating
a custom Pattern that can be saved for
future use.
If the
SELECT screen is accessed while the
Explorer SE is functioning in Iron Mask, the
current Iron Mask Pattern will be displayed
in the Discrimination Pattern Thumbnail.
As soon as a selection is made from the
Select List, a thumbnail of the chosen
Discrimination Pattern will replace the
Iron Mask, and Iron Mask indicator will
be automatically switched to the OFF
position when you return to the Smartfind
screen.

type from the Discrimination
Pattern Thumbnail.
