5 SAFETY APPLICATION CONFIGURATION EXAMPLES
5.1 System Configured by a Safety CPU

In this example, the door open/close signal of the safety switch is used as an input signal. Therefore, this signal (SA\X0) is
connected to the input signal, i_bS_GuardLock (Status of the mechanical guard locking), of M+SF_GLOCK_R as well. When
using a safety switch whose locking status can be monitored, connect the locking status signal to i_bS_GuardLock. If a safety
switch that cannot monitor the door open/close signal is used, connect the locking status signal to the two input signals of
M+SF_GLOCK_R, i_bS_GuardMon (Monitor of the guard interlocking) and i_bS_GuardLock. In this case, the timer, SAT1
(timer for waiting for M+SF_GLOCK to be enabled) in the program in the previous page, must be programmed.

When the reset switch is pressed,
the M+SF_GLOCK_R safety output
(SA\M1) is turned on, enabling the
M+SF_EDM_R.
When the stop switch is
pressed, the contactor output
is turned off. The guard
interlock will be released in
five seconds (SA\T0 setting
value). (SA\Y3=on)

Guard lock release output (SA\Y3)
When the guard is closed
and then the reset switch
is pressed, the guard is
locked. (SA\Y3=off)
The guard can be opened only
while the interlock is released.
(SA\Y3=on)
When the start switch is pressed,
the M+SF_EDM_R safety output
is turned on and the contactor
output (SA\Y0) turn on.
When an error occurs in a safety
remote I/O module, inputs and
outputs of the safety remote I/O
module are turned off.
Also, the M+SF_GLOCK_R and
M+SF_EDM_R are disabled.
A safety remote I/O
module detects a
double input
discrepancy.
