4.8 Battery
This section explains the mounting and replacement of the battery.
4.8.1 Battery specifications
This section shows the specifications of the QJ71MES96 MES interface module battery.

4.8.2 Mounting of battery
The QJ71MES96 MES interface module is shipped with the battery connector
disconnected. Before using the module, connect the battery connector.
• Firmly push the battery connector all the way in to the connector pin.
• When operating without battery mounted, refer to the following.
Section 4.9 Operation without Mounting Battery
Not following the procedure may cause the data corruption in the
CompactFlash card being accessed or a file system error.

1 Open the battery cover located on the bottom of the module.
2 Check that the Q6BAT is correctly installed.
3 Check the direction and securely insert the connector plug of the Q6BAT
to the jack of the module.
4 Close the battery cover.
