GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The emission control system is basically the same as
that for the 2.4L engine installed in the ECLIPSE.
The EGR system does not contain a vacuum control
valve. The evaporative emission system has a check
valve between the intake manifold and the evapora-
tive emission purge solenoid to prevent reverse flow
during boost.
