ENVELOPES (Continued)
MULTI TRIG (ON/LIT, OFF/UNLIT)
This setting provides improved articulation while playing in the MONO
or UNISON Modes. With the MULTI TRIG (Multiple Triggering) button
set to Off, a new note played while one is still being held on the
keyboard (legato style) will not initiate a new Envelope cycle; instead
the new note will sound at the current position of the active Envelope.
Multiple Triggering (MULTI TRIG button On) begins a new Envelope
cycle with each new note played. When playing polyphonically, if a
particular voice is re-triggered by a new note while still playing the
previous note, the Envelope will restart (MULTI TRIG On) or not (MULTI
TRIG Off).
SYNC (ON/LIT, OFF/UNLIT)
When the SYNC button is On, the seconds-based timing of the
Envelope’s Delay, Attack, Hold, Decay, and Release stages is replaced
by quantized musical divisions of the Master Clock’s Tempo (BPM). This
allows the Envelopes to operate in sync with other modules using clock-
division timing, including the Arpeggiator, Sequencer, LFOs, Effects, etc.
The complete SYNC value range for the envelopes is: {1/64, 1/32, 1/16,
1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64}
LOOP (ON/LIT, OFF/UNLIT)
With the LOOP button On, the Envelope forms a repeating control
signal based on the values of the Delay, Attack, Hold, Decay, Sustain,
and Release stages. As soon as the Release stage is complete, the Delay
stage will begin anew. This type of repeating control signal is
also known as a trapezoid signal.
LATCH (ON/LIT, OFF/UNLIT)
Setting the LATCH button to On holds the Envelope open at the Sustain
level, even after a key is released or the gate is closed. With the LATCH
button On and the LOOP button set to On, the Envelope continues to
cycle and loop, even after the key (or gate) is released.
