13.6. Safety Instructions for Specific Operational Phases
In all specific operational phases, the operation of the radial piston pump must be in a safe and functional
condition.
I
t is the responsibility of the manufacturer and the operator of the machine to ensure that the radial
piston pumps are handled in accordance with safety requirements.
Check radial piston pumps at least once per shift on external visible damages and defects, e.g.
leakages.
Occurred changes including the operating performance have to be reported immediately to the
responsible person/position! If applicable stop and safe machinery immediately!
13.7. Safety Instructions for the Operation of Hydraulic Systems
It is only allowed to qualified and authorized staff with the required knowledge and experience in hydraulic
control to work with and on hydraulic components.
All hydraulic connections have to be checked regularly for leakages and external visible damages! Damaged
parts have to be removed immediately!
Danger of Explosion!
To guarantee safe operation in hazardous areas:
In case of malfunction, stop and secure the machinery immediately.
Report changes, including to the operating behavior, damage and defects to the
responsible department immediately.
DANGER
WARNING
Dan
ger of personal injury and damage to property due to unexpected operation!
During operation and maintenance of the higher-level machinery uncontrolled and/or
unpredictable operational sequences are possible.
If automatic control technology is to be used, the user should, in addition to all
the potentially available standards or guidelines on safety-engineering
installations, consult the manufacturer of the components used in great depth.
The higher-level machine must be prevented against being switched on
accidentally.
Danger of personal injury and damage to property!
The operation of the radial piston pumps at pressure that is too high on the hydraulic
connections can cause injuries and damage to the machine
Pressure-limiting valves or other comparable safety devices, for example, must
be installed to limit the pressure at all the hydraulic ports to the specified
maximum operating pressure, see User Manual RKP:
