Pair your Smart Stylus and phone
Connect your Smart Stylus and phone with Bluetooth before usage.
1 Attach the folio to your phone.
2 Slide the stylus point first into the stylus slot on the back of the folio.
3 On your phone, from the home screen, swipe down from the top with
two fingers and make sure Bluetooth is on. If it’s not, tap to turn it on.
Note: Your Smart Stylus will pair with your phone automatically. If it
doesn’t, remove the stylus from the stylus slot and try the steps again.
Charge up your Smart Stylus
Charge your Smart Stylus one of these ways:
» Your stylus supports wireless charging. To charge it up, place it on a
Qi-compatible charging pad (sold separately).
» To charge your stylus through your phone, attach the folio to the
phone, slide the stylus point first into the stylus slot, then place the
phone on a flat and stable surface.
Tip: To help improve battery life, your phone will not charge your Smart
Stylus when:
• Your phone is charging other devices through a USB cable.
• Your phone’s Battery Saver mode is on. For more, see Improve

• Your phone is in low battery mode.
Place your phone on a flat and stable surface for about 10 minutes to charge your Smart Stylus up.
Note: During charging, the stylus LED flashes. When fully charged, the
light turns o.
Set up your Smart Stylus
See and change stylus default settings.
Find it: On your phone, swipe up from the home screen and tap
Settings > Stylus
» Use stylus actions and gestures: Control your phone by Smart Stylus
actions and gestures. Swipe up from the home screen, tap
Settings
> Stylus > Stylus actions, then tap the switch next to one of the
following options to turn on the feature, or tap the option name to view
the tutorial about the feature.
• Air mouse: Use your Smart Stylus as an air mouse when your phone
is connected to an external display through Ready For. For more,
