ThePrivateCall,alsocalledpoint-to-point,orindividualcall,enablescallingbetweentwoindividuals.Noother
radiocanheartheconversation.Thiscalltypecanbecarriedoutintwoways:
•Duplexcall(ifthesystemallows),inTMOMode.Bothpartiescanspeakatthesametime.
•Simplexcall,inTMOorDMOMode.Onlyonepartycanspeakatatime.
WhenaDMOPrivateCalltakesplace,radiosnotinvolvedinthiscallreceivethechannelbusyindication.The
radiosareidentiedusingitsradionumbers.
Interactionwiththeaccessories:
•FistMicrophone—duringthePrivateCall,ifyouhangthemicrophoneintotheclipthecallendsorthe
audioswitchestothespeakers(ifconnected).
•TelephoneStyleHandset—duringthePrivateCall,ifyouhandthehandsetintotheholder,thecallendsor
theaudioswitchestothespeakers(ifconnected).
3.4.6PrivateCallWithPresenceCheck
Thisfeatureallowsyoutoseeifthecallingpartyisavailable.
Whenthisfeatureisenabled,youcanonlyinitiateaPrivateCallifthecalledradioispresentonthesamechannel
andrespondswithapresencecheckacknowledgement.OtherwiseyourradiodisplaysPartynotavailable.

RadiosthatcannotcommunicatedirectlybetweeneachotherinDMOMode,candoitthroughtherepeaterthatis
attachedonthesametalkgroup.ThisconnectivityisusedtoenhancetheradioDMOarea.
