2.11 “Master Clear” Deleted Profiles from within
my protected WebSession file (ebentley)
I wonder if anyone else has experienced this issue. I performed a “Master Clear” (Settings>Initial Setup>Master Clear)
on my Black V3x to correct some anomalies in the Phonebook (not able to edit contacts on the phone). When I tried to
access the Internet, It did not load to the proper destination as had been previously set according to my customized
(HTTP) settings. Since I’d seen this before when we were working on the Cingular HTTP settings, I immediately
checked my Websessions and found that I only had the “Cingular” Websession, NOT my hacked MEdianet or MMS
sessions. Since the hacked MEdianet session was no longer available, I also lost my MMS server info settings which
had the MMS server websession name of MEdianet. I uploaded my hacked (HTTP) Websession file and reset my
MMS server Web Session Name to the now present MEdianet and I was back in business.

(samnahata) hmmm that’s a weird situation... I recently master cleared my phone but didn't lose any info from my
web sessions. The browser and mms settings worked just fine. You've got me curious... I’ll keep you posted if i find out
why that had happened.
(rosy_k) Hey ebentley, Try this.. I noticed this happen to me two days ago... Make sure your websession file is called
"WebSession"..in that EXACT case. When I called it "Websession", it was cleared and only the original default
sessions showed up when I did a master clear just as yours did. When I called it "WebSession" it stayed as it should
after a master clear. Give it a try and let me know. It's possible yours is already in the correct case, but I thought it's

(Steve8411) In all my time... I've never used a master clear or master reset on any phone..... cuz many times Im just to
lazy to set the attribute for various files. That being said... as we modders know ... if the file attribute is not set to 04 ...
