an offset with 04, change it to 00, repeat this for right soft key, mine are "Ph.Book" find the appropiate offset with 04
before this name, change it to 00,
save the file and upload it back to phone... thats all. I leave mma_dcp (backup) unchanged. In case of any mistake
master reset the phone.

Gadgetnutter] I remembered something that happened when I was messing around with Flexeditor 10.4. When I
unchecked the "Change left and right buttons" box, the Planet 3 logo disappeared from the right button.
Just done it again after having loaded the modified mma_ucp file and logo is gone and is showing text of button that is
now assigned!!!
[m1.carson] had no text above my right softkey for over a week, I could change the function and it worked as that
function but no text still, using flexeditor, loaded the flex from phone, scrolled a long way down and a switch said
"modify left and right buttons" this was ticked, I unticked it reloade x to the phone, restarted the phone using
flexeditor and my text re-appeared

Obscure mma_ucp/dcp issue to look out for (rossy_k)
I discoverd a problem that was occuring after I was replacing my mma_ucp file with a (modified) one that allows the
softkeys to be changed.
What I found would happen is that when recording a video, I would have small dots all over on the image (always in
the same spots on the image though) as if there was electrical "noise" affecting the image while it was being recorded.
I found that doing a master reset fixed the problem. (Videos already recorded still showed the dots, but any new videos
taken did not have the dot problem) Doing the master reset restored the ORIGINAL mma_ucp file from the backup
mma_dcp file in the a\mobile\system folder. So again I put my modified mma_ucp file (thanks i-paw) in so I could mod
the button assignments and all was good... for some time at least... The problem with the videos would re-appear after
some time of using the phone - perhaps 1+ hour? The relatively stochastic timing for the fault to re-occur was
puzzling...
I found what I had to do was copy the modified mma_ucp file and save it as mma_dcp so that the backup it was
restoring was the modified file which allowed me to modify my softkeys.
Now that the master reset would restore my modified mma_ucp file, I once again did a master reset. This has fixed my
video woes!!
Perhaps as the modifed mma_ucp file was slightly larger in file size it was overwriting some other code in RAM - not
unlike a buffer overflow... After doing what I said above and doing the master reset it may properly assign the correct
RAM data space for the larger file and as such the problem disappears..I’m not 100% sure though... unfortunately we
cannot debug the phone at a hardware level...

stj2000online ]It's recommended when you upload new or changed mma_ucp file you should make the exact same
changes to mma_dcp, and upload it too
. Then set the file attribute on mma_dcp to 4 and the attribute for mma_ucp
stays.
[ebentley] The easy way is just to “save as” your modded mma_ucp file and name it mma_dcp. Then upload both to
a/mobile/system; then change the file attribute on mma_dcp to 4.
