2. Depending on version, loosen 4 or 6 screws on coupling brackets to upper
gear unit and bevel gear.

3. Remove horizontal drive shaft. Be sure not to lose the coupling bolts.

1. Ensure that the stop-cock between oil conservator and on-load tap-
changer is open.
