*This command is only included for compatibility and performs no function
except to load the S-Register. The parameter value, if valid, is written S21 bit
1.

Flow Control Selection
Values:
n
= 0, 3, 4, 5 or 6
Defaults: 3
Description: &K0 Flow control disabled.
&K3 Enable CTS/RTS hardware flow control.
&K4 Enable XON/XOFF flow control.
&K5 Enable transparent XON/XOFF flow control.
&K6 Enable both RTS/CTS and XON/XOFF flow control.
(Default for fax and voice modes.)

Leased Line Operation
Values:

Defaults: None
Description: &L0 NA
*This command requests leased line or dial-up operation. This command is
provided for compatibility only; no mode change is performed, dial-up opera-
tion continues. The
OK
response is returned for a valid parameter, but no
other action is performed. The parameter value, if valid, is written to S27 bit
2.

Communications Mode
Values:

Defaults: 0
Description: &M0 Asynchronous mode.
&M1 Reserved—responds ERROR.
*&M0 selects direct asynchronous operation. Note that the command
sequence &M0\N0 selects normal buffered mode, but the command sequence
\N0&M0 selects direct mode. This is because the \N0 command is analogous
to the &Q6 command.
