LJůŝŶĚĞƌŽŶŶĞĐƟŽŶ nsure the gas regulator hose is ŬinŬ free. Remoǀe the cap or plug from the cylinder
fuel ǀalǀe. Insert the blacŬ Y1 regulator nipple onto the Y1 fuel ǀalǀe. ,and Ɵghten clocŬwise. Do
not use tools. >eaŬ test all joints prior to using the grill. A leaŬ test must be performed annually and each
Ɵme a cylinder is hooŬed up or if a part of the gas system is replaced.
If this grill is to be connected directly to a house propane gas supply line, follow the instrucƟons for the
natural gas hooŬ-up. nsure that the supply pressure is 11 inches water column.

supplied with a gas supply hose ;complete with a ƋuicŬ disconnectͿ designed for natural gas and cerƟĮed

dhe ƋuicŬ disconnect must not be installed in an upward direcƟon and a readily accessible manual shut-oī
ǀalǀe must be installed upstream of, and as close to, the ƋuicŬ disconnect as is feasible. dhe Ňared end of
the hose must be connected to the Įƫng on the end of the manifold tube or Ňedž tube ;if applicableͿ as
illustrated in the Natural 'as ,ose AƩachment diagram. dighten using two wrenches. ;Do not use thread
sealerpipe dope.Ϳ >eaŬ test all joints prior to using the gas grill.

ͻ dhe installaƟon must be performed by a licensed gas ĮƩer, and all connecƟons must be leaŬ tested
before operaƟng the grill.
ͻ Do not route hose underneath the drip pan.
ͻ Do not route hose between boƩom shelf space and bacŬ panel.
ͻ Do not route hose oǀer top of rear panel.
ͻ nsure all hose connecƟons are Ɵghtened using two wrenches. Do not use deŇon tape or pipe dope
on any hose connecƟon.
ͻ nsure the hose does not contact any high temperature surfaces or it may melt and leaŬ causing a
Įre.
ͻ >eaŬ test all the connecƟons using a soap and water soluƟon as per the leaŬ tesƟng instrucƟons found
in the manual.
ͻ dhe outdoor cooŬing gas appliance and its indiǀidual shutoī ǀalǀe must be disconnected from the gas
supply piping system during any pressure tesƟng of that system at test pressures in edžcess of 0.5 psi
;3.5 ŬPaͿ.
ͻ dhe outdoor cooŬing gas appliance must be isolated from the gas supply piping system by closing its
indiǀidual manual shutoī ǀalǀe during any pressure tesƟng of the gas supply piping system at test
pressures eƋual to or less than 12 psi ;3.5 ŬPaͿ.
