• When maintenance is complete and it is safe to return the transmitter to normal service,
enable all RF power module supplies by setting the switch on the front of the associated RF
power module(s) to its ‘up’ position.
Table 1.3: Output Power Level vs. PA/Module Failure/Removal
PA/Module Failures/Removal
RF Output Power
(% of rated power **)
Best Case Worst Case
1 RF Power Module 25 25
2 RF Power Modules 0 0
1 RF Power Amplifier 87.9 87.9
2 RF Power Amplifiers 76.6 76.6
3 RF Power Amplifiers 66 56.3
4 RF Power Amplifiers 56.3 39.1
1 IPA Power Amplifier 25 25
2 IPA Power Amplifiers 0 0
NOTE: ** - When operating at less than rated power, the transmitter can increase PA
voltage to compensate for PA/module failures, until high reject load limits are reached.
Therefore, the percentage of RF output power compared to the setpoint power would be
greater than shown above.
