Cash Drawer Support
The 7607 Motherboard provides support for 12V (Hospitality) or 24V (Retail) Cash
Drawers on the connector on the rear I/O. An adapter (splitter) is required for 12V cash
drawers which will also provide support for dual cash drawers. A separate dual drawer
adapter is available for 24V cash drawers. Control signals are connected to GPIOs of the
Super I/O. The port uses the same fuse type as the +24V USB plus power port.
The Cash Drawer Kick Out (CDKO) circuit design is a new type that supports both the
Retail and Hospitality cash drawer families. A presence detect function signals whether
Drawer A, Drawer B, or both are present. The dual drawer adapters allow differentiation
of whether drawer A or drawer B is open.
A 6-position RJ11 connector (Tyco 5555140-1 or NCR approved equivalent) is used.
