Waveforms => Display tab: The check boxes AE1, AE2, AE3, and
AE4 are used to select the data to be displayed in the AE Signals
graph. Select Overlapped to overlap all acoustic signals in the
window. Select Normalized to normalize all AE signals in the
window. Select Envelope in the Post-Processing section to display
an outline of the amplitude peaks of all acoustic signals in the
window, or select None to display original waves.
Waveforms => Measurement tab: The measurement tab includes
the measurement details for the selected waveform acquisition,
such as gain level, trigger channel used, trigger window
information, sensors positions, measurements voltages and signal
qualification.
Waveforms => Cursors tab: The cursor tab displays cursor time and
time of arrival and equivalences in oil and steel for acoustic sensors
along with cursor time for the PD channel.
Waveforms => Calculator tab: Click Auto-TOA to automatically
position all cursors at the estimated time of arrival acoustic wave
trains. The Create Pinpoints button will trigger the localization
algorithms that will localize the PD with only one set of waveforms.
Up to four results can be created with one acquisition, since three
sensors are needed for this process. The Create Vectors button
triggers the vector creation based on the waveforms cursors. Up to
four vectors can be created from a single acquisition, since three
sensors are needed for this process. Once satisfied with the
created vectors, click Accept to save the vectors in the Localization
tab to correlate them with other data. The Time Reference can be
set as AE Only, or From PD. When AE Only is selected, only acoustic
channels will be used in localization algorithms. This kind of
positioning requires very good signal quality. When From PD is
selected, it will use the absolute time reference for the positioning
algorithm. This is the preferred way of localizing PD activity.
o PrPD: The PrPD tab is where PrPD acquisition data will be found. It
includes a list of flagged acquisitions, measurements comments,
measurement details, a transformer tank 3D representation, an
amplitude/phase angle graph selectable for all five channels and a trigger
window management section.
